Artist Machika Ichihara was commissioned to create a way to depict the history of our Villa Rica
gold mining heritage. On your next visit, be sure to take a look at the art gallery she created for
our restroom walls out of Carroll County indigenous clay. Each tile is carefully sculpted and the
larger tiles are on sale in the Museum Store. The tiles are individually displayed in the next six
frames for closer inspection.
