Volunteering

Visitor Services Volunteer Representatives serve as ambassadors to the public. They greet and orient visitors to the Museum's layout and resources. They have a sincere interest in people and an understanding of the commitment and passion required to share time, knowledge and enthusiasm to their community.

What are the personal qualities of a Museum Volunteer?

Open-Mindedness and Patience to work with a diverse public and staff.

Integrity to represent the institution and oneself with the highest standards.

Dedication to the Museum's mission and to the values of the Volunteer Program.

Reliability to consistently keep one's volunteer commitment to the Museum.

Our museum’s success will be greatly determined by our Volunteer Staff. We need your help to continue our goal of providing an educational and entertaining venue for future visitors.

If you, or someone you know, would like to be a part of this exciting project, please contact the museum office or email the Webmistress. We will forward to you an application, then contact you to establish a convenient time for your orientation. Just an hour of your time once a month would be a generous contribution!

We look forward to you becoming one of the smiling faces that are seen daily around the park!
